Step 1: Working with Authentic Japanese Beads
Sourcing is a crucial step — today, countless Chinese counterfeits flood the internet. These are made of plastic, not glass, and they tarnish within just a few weeks.
It took us a long time to find THE right supplier.

Step 2: A Direct Partnership with Miyuki, in Japan
Every year, the founders of Koss Design travel to Japan to meet directly with their Miyuki partner. This photo was taken during our annual visit to the Miyuki Factory, near Hiroshima — a historic house founded in 1949 — alongside the leadership team.
Step 3: A Meticulous Selection
We carefully select different beads to create perfect combinations. Our commitment is to offer an irresistible and unique style that will captivate even the most discerning clientele.
Step 4: Assembly
Once the beads have been selected and purchased, assembly begins. The distinctive square shape of Miyuki Japanese beads requires real expertise to ensure the finished bracelets come out round — not square.
Step 5: Meticulous Production
Once a unique design has been crafted by our designers, production begins using the selected beads.
Using a needle, each bead is carefully threaded onto a sturdy elastic cord.
Step 6: Attention to Detail
Once the beads are in place, a triple knot is tied to secure the bracelet. The knot is then hidden beneath the beads for a clean, polished look. Each piece of jewelry is crafted with love and meticulous attention to detail.
